Laminate flooring
Laminate materials began to be used in flooring with high-pressure laminate, which was developed in 1977 by a Swedish company that launched the first laminate flooring on the market in 1980.
It is composed of several layers, usually of wood derivatives, the last layer being a synthetic compound that can vary in composition, but is generally a compound of melamine resins under high pressure, which is printed with a pattern imitating wood.
Laminate or synthetic flooring is a wood-derived product that offers greater resistance to wear and tear than natural wood.
